Gallowgate Residents Association was formed in 2002.
We cover all residents and tenants from Seamount Road, Gallowgate maisonettes. Porthill Court, Seamount Court and the blocks of one bed flats before the Mounthooly roundabout.
We have also been registered as a Tenants Organisation since November 2012.
The aim of the association is to support residents and tenants and do what we can to improve the area.

We hold monthly meetings at 7pm in Seamount Court Common Room on the last Tuesday of the month with the Councillor’s surgery at 6pm the same day.
We also hold a monthly afternoon meeting with repairs.
We are part of the Multi Storey Group.
Sheila Dean is also Chair of Multi Storey Committee.
We have had a few successes over the years, bus shelters on Gallowgate, post box beside the Gallowgate Stores, to name a few.
Last year we got three planters in the shop area and the raised beds in front of Porthill Court planted with roses and shrubs.
This year (2014/15) we have entered Britain in Bloom and won an award.
